Jennifer Muro, LCSW-S,

Jennifer has over 15 years of experience as an intensive in-home counselor and outpatient therapist. She specializes in play therapy with children and adults, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy from a family systems perspective. She actively works with clients who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, mood dysregulation, anger and impulse control difficulties believing these are just part of an experience and not identifiers of an individual. She has a heart for children of divorced families and marriage ministry. She believes in practical and effective Christ-centered therapy. She has expertise in children with self injurious behaviors, as well as and teens at risk of out of home placement.

Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist in the state of Virginia and Alabama. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Norfolk State University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University.

Jennifer, her husband, and their three children live in Newport News. They attend church in Newport News where they serve in many roles as leaders. Jennifer enjoys time with her family, marriage ministry, football, and the beach
